The Energy Catalyst Round 8 opens Summer 2020 with an estimated £21m to be available to support businesses developing highly innovative, sustainable energy technologies and business models, which are accelerating the clean energy transition in developing and emerging economies. The focus is on addressing the clean energy access challenge in Sub-Saharan Africa and South/South East Asia.

The Energy Catalyst is open to both UK and international participants.

The key objectives on-line brokerage events are to help organisations applying for the Energy Catalyst Round 8 to gain an understanding of the energy access issues in Sub-Saharan Africa and South/South East Asia and find links to potential partners who would be interested in submitting an Energy Catalyst Application. These activities form part of the collaboration-building to enable businesses to develop equitable partnerships between the UK and overseas organisations. The organizers are actively seeking Nepalese organisations from Business, Research, Community and NGO sectors to join the event and become involved in project applications with UK organisations.
